The value creation operating system for Private Equity

The value creation plan, live.

Every initiative tracked to its EBITDA contribution, with progress, slippage and risk visible at a glance. The live record your steering committee works from, not slides rebuilt for it.

The gap Command fills

You track what the portfolio is worth. What's tracking the plan that makes it worth more?

The plan is written once, presented at IC, and then lives in a spreadsheet. By month four, no one can say which initiatives are actually moving EBITDA, which are three weeks from slipping, or what the plan is now worth against the thesis. Operating partners chase portcos for updates; portco execs rebuild the same board pack every month. Value leaks quietly, and the first honest conversation about it happens far too close to exit.

Today, without Command

The plan and the delivery reality drift apart

Steering committees see a plan on a slide that got updated last week. Risks surface through conversation, not a live view. No one can say, without a phone call, which of the forty initiatives are actually on track this week.

Depth the portfolio-monitoring tools don't go to

Most tools built for PE portfolios stop at status. Command was built out of the mechanics of actually running a value creation programme.

Monitoring tools tell you what happened. Delivery tools tell you what's busy. Command is the only one that scores value with a weighted framework and runs the delivery that produces it.

01

Value, scored

The Enterprise Value Index scores every initiative against six weighted value levers, from Commercial Growth to Data and AI, rolling up to a live Enterprise Value Heatmap. Not a status colour: a weighted view of what the plan is worth right now.

02

Delivery, evidenced

Full PMO depth sits beneath the value layer: project register, opportunity pipeline, RAIDD log and resource register. The EBITDA number stands up at the board table because the delivery evidence behind it does.

03

Adoption, managed

Change load, capacity to absorb it, impact, champions and business readiness tracked as first-class data. Most value creation plans fail at adoption, not at design — Command treats that as a measurable risk, not a soft one.

04

Portfolio, connected

Group, sub-group and portfolio company structure, built in from day one. Operating partners see the fund. Portco execs see their business. One system, no reconciliation, no gaps.

One system, two seats at the table

Built for the operating partner and the portco team, at once

PE firm / operating partner

See the whole portfolio without chasing a single update

A live Enterprise Value Index for every portfolio company, and an Enterprise Value Heatmap breaking each one down by business area, rolled up from what delivery teams are actually recording.

  • Enterprise Value Heatmap, by business area
  • Governance by role, across every portco
  • One structure, from fund down to initiative
Portfolio company / delivery team

Run the plan where the work actually happens

The same record the operating partner sees is the one the delivery team works from daily — no second version to maintain for reporting day.

  • Project register, RAIDD log, change tracking
  • Owners, dates and status on every initiative
  • Reporting exports, not a reporting rebuild

Five Founding Partner places.
Now open.

We're onboarding a small cohort of PE funds and portfolio companies to shape the next phase of Command. Founding Partners lock in preferential terms for the life of their contract and get a direct say in the roadmap. If your value creation plan needs a live delivery record this quarter, let's talk.

The platform

Everything the value creation plan needs to stay real

Seven working modules, one underlying record. The screens below are real Command product screenshots, current as of September 2026 — not mockups. Two modules, RAIDD and change management, are still in build and are shown here as illustrative concepts, clearly marked as such.

01 · Value Creation Plan

The plan itself — targets, not just a narrative

Revenue growth and cost reduction targets, phased and tracked against actuals, form the backbone every other module rolls up to.

02 · Enterprise Value Index

One weighted score, six value pillars, baseline vs. target vs. live

Command's own methodology — the same model used in Valexis's consulting engagements — rather than a generic OKR tree: Commercial Growth, Operational Excellence, Digital and Technology, Data and AI, People and Leadership, and Transformation Enablement. Each pillar carries a weight agreed at the start of the programme; the Enterprise Value Index moves as real initiatives close.

03 · Value Creation Insight

Value created against target, tracked as it happens

A running total of value created against the plan's target, a year-end forecast, and a breakdown by business area — so the answer to "are we going to hit the number" doesn't wait for a steering committee.

04 · Target contribution by business area

PMO-grade depth on every initiative, owned by name

Value targets allocated down to business area and named owner, with the underlying project list grouped the same way — the level of detail an operating partner actually gets asked for.

05 · Enterprise Value Heatmap

Every business area, one screen, prioritised for you

Value potential, current performance and value gap scored by business area, with a priority ranking and the methodology behind it shown alongside — not a black-box score.

06 · RAIDD log

Risks, assumptions, issues, decisions and dependencies — logged, owned, dated

The discipline most PMOs run in a steering pack once a month, kept live instead.

What Command is worth to your portfolio

Two tests, on your own numbers. First, whether Command pays for itself on reporting effort alone. Second, the exit value protected when slipping initiatives surface months earlier. Defaults are deliberately conservative — change any of them.

FAQ

Questions we get asked before signing

The practical ones — deployment, data and how Command sits alongside Valexis. If yours isn't here, ask us directly.

How long does deployment take?

Weeks, not months, for a single portfolio company — the plan, levers and initiative register are set up with your team directly rather than a lengthy implementation project.

Where is our data held, and how is it secured?

Data residency and a full security posture are confirmed at contracting stage; a SOC 2 programme is underway. If this is a gating requirement for your firm, tell us in the form below and we'll cover it upfront.

Is Command part of Valexis Consulting?

Yes. Command is a product division of Valexis Consulting. It is licensed to Valexis clients and non-clients alike, and using it is never a condition of a Valexis engagement, or the other way round.

Can Command be used as part of a Valexis delivery engagement?

Yes. Command can be included for the term of a Valexis delivery engagement, and you can keep the system your consultants built on a standalone licence afterwards, with no obligation to continue.

Is Command GDPR compliant, and does that cover firms and portfolio companies outside the UK?

Command is built and run from the UK with GDPR-aligned data handling by design. The same data protection standard applies to customers in the EU and US as a matter of policy, not just regulatory requirement — any cross-border transfer terms are confirmed at contracting.

Will we have a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) in place?

Yes. A DPA is agreed and signed alongside the licence agreement before any customer data is entered into Command, setting out how data is processed, retained and protected.

Who owns the data we put into Command?

You do. Portfolio company and fund data entered into Command remains the customer's property at all times. Command processes it solely to deliver the service, under the terms of the DPA.

Still have a question?

Send it through and we'll come back to you directly, no sales queue.

About Command

Built by people who have run the plan, not just watched it

Command grew out of our own work at Valexis, delivering value creation plans in PE-backed businesses. Every engagement showed the same pattern: a well-built plan, a well-run steering committee, and a delivery reality scattered across a PMO inbox, a slide deck and a spreadsheet that drifted further from the truth every week. Command is the tool we wished we'd had.
